Jesus is Lord!

While our seminars are primarily intended for the training and encouragement of pastors, church and ministry leaders, staff, volunteers, and "just plain folks" active in ministry to others, anyone can benefit from participating in them.

For example, when we present these seminars in prisons and residential re-entry programs, many brand new believers, some still in "life crisis mode," not only grasp the life-changing concepts presented, but successfully apply them.

Our purpose is to serve Jesus by helping to equip His people to serve Him, too!

RelationShapes

with Dawn Marie Johnson

We're told we should love one another, but how do we demonstrate love? We're told we should forgive those who hurt us, but how do we actually forgive? How do we know that we haven't just suppressed our pain and anger, only to have it emerge later, in a potentially more difficult, harder to deal with form?

RelationShapes explores these and other issues, for the purpose of helping us recognize unhealthy patterns of behavior, get out of these patterns in a biblically consistent way, and establish and enjoy healthy, God-pleasing relationships.

RelationShapes looks at the whole range of our relationships, from basically healthy ones to those involving abuse and domestic violence. It provides biblically-based guidance for positive change and improvement in all our relationships.

Participants in RelationShapes are not singled out. There is no role playing, no asking of personal or potentially embarrassing questions, no requirement to say anything at all, either publicly or privately. This creates an environment where people can learn, ask questions, and if needed, get help.

RelationShapes is excellent training for those involved in marriage or other forms of relationship ministry.

Seminar participants receive a workbook to help with note taking, comprehension, retention, and application of the concepts they will learn.

Note: This seminar consists of four @ one hour sessions. The material can be covered in one day, with a meal break between the second and third session.

Living in Kingdom Normal: Enjoying the Fullness of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

with Richard & Dawn Johnson

"They're teenagers...they're supposed to rebel."

This is just one of many statements that our society...and many within the Body of Christ...believe to be true. Then, whether we passively accept this statement or fight against it, our teenagers actually do rebel...thus fulfilling a false prophecy!

Our societal or cultural norms are frequently opposed to the cultural norms of the Kingdom of God...but we often accept them, not only as normal and inevitable, but sometimes as a blessing from God! This kind of thinking keeps us weak, limiting our ability to function as strong and fully-equipped soldier-citizens of God's Kingdom.

The Kingdom is not just for later on in eternity...if we are a followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, then the Kingdom is within us...and if it is within us, then we are supposed to be empowered by God himself to live in His Kingdom and enjoy its many benefits, not only forever, but right now.

This seminar explores some of the differences between our what society and culture considers normal, and what is normal in the Kingdom. It discusses what it means to be "an ambassador for Christ" in the here and now, and what holds us back from living in the Kingdom. It also provides participants with tools for living in the Kingdom.

The purpose of this seminar is to prepare people to walk in spiritual maturity, and for powerful, effective, and life-changing ministry to others.

Kingdom Normal consists of six sessions of @ one and a half hours each, and is best presented over three-four days. Some sessions can be presented as stand-alone "mini-seminars."

The Spiritual Roots of Addiction

with Richard Johnson

Recovery is good...very good...it's just incomplete. Healing and complete freedom in Christ is better!

This seminar looks at the root cause of addiction, and explores several questions from a strongly Christian/biblical point of view.

What is addiction? Why do people become addicted? Why do people continue to indulge in destructive behavior, even after the pleasure is completely gone? Why do young people get hooked?

What did the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous mean concerning "God as we understood Him?" What God were they talking about? Who is the "higher power," and what was supposed to happen as a person recovered and changed?

Why do most people return to their addictions within the first three years of recovery?

During the course of this seminar, Richard shares a powerful personal testimony of exploration, addiction, recovery, and full healing through Jesus Christ, and offers some little-publicized information about recovery.

This seminar is recommended for young people and their parents, for teachers, ministers, or anyone interested in gaining a fresh perspective on the nature of addiction, how to prevent it, and how to get truly free of it.

We are especially interested in presenting this seminar to youth groups and at Christian schools.

Scheduling & Hosting Information

Seminars may be scheduled for one day, one weekend, or over several days, depending on your needs and what might work best for those planning to attend.

Weekend seminars held at a hotel, conference, or retreat center can help establish a Holy Spirit-influenced environment that encourages spiritual growth and emotional healing. A non-church venue can also encourage the participation of other churches in your community, and make it easier for un-churched people to attend.

Financial arrangements are flexible. Generally, host churches, organizations, or individuals are asked to provide hotel accommodations or their equivalent, and either round-trip airfare or travel expenses if Richard and Dawn drive. A minimum honorarium is usually requested, but free-will offerings will be considered.

Our technical and other requirements are very simple, and are available on request.

Richard's concert ministry is also available as part of the event.

We will supply you with sample posters, photographs, biographical and other information, sample press releases, and other promotional materials that you may customize for advertising and promotional purposes. Arrangements may also be made for Richard and Dawn to be available by phone for live radio interviews in the days before the event takes place.

For further information, or to schedule ministry, please call or e-mail us at the address below.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
